Sources of Sesame seeds include India, China, Myanmar, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda and Nigeria. Majority of Sesame Seeds comes from Asia. This product has a long shelf life.

There are several types of sesame seed products available including white, black, brown and red. The black, brown and white ones are the most commercially grown. Black and brown seeds have the exterior hull of the seed in place whereas the white ones are processed and the hull has been removed. The black and brown versions both have a stronger taste than the white variety and this is particularly so with black seeds.

Chia Seeds are a type of superfood which is not well understood by many. They are the richest source of Omega-3 fatty acids outside of oily fish such as salmon and mackerel. Linseed is the seed produced by the flax plant Linum Usitatissium.  The plant originates from a region crossing the Mediterranean countries, the Middle East and India. Linseeds have a very high calorie count seeds and therefore are excellent for diets where weight gain is required. They are also very high in fibre and Vitamin B Complex. Linseeds also contain calcium, copper, manganese, magnesium calcium and iron.

Linseed has been grown and used for thousands of years and can be dated back to the neolithic times.  Used as an addition to food in either whole or ground form (Milled for us, as the husk of the seed needs breaking to release all the goodness inside. Sunflower seeds are found, mainly in three different varieties.  The Linoleic, high oleic, and Sunflower Oil seeds and all are differentiated by the levels of monounsaturated, saturated, and polyunsaturated fats present.  Commercially they are usually identified and classed by the pattern on their husks. Where the husk is solid black they are labelled black oil sunflower seeds and are usually cropped for oil production. Striped sunflower seeds are mainly used for food and so they may be called confectionery sunflower seeds.
